How often SMP procedures need touch-ups?
Scalp Mircopigmentation is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses microneedles for tattooing of the scalp. Pigments will place in the epidermis layer of skin to create a natural illusion of follicles for both Density fill procedure and full density or scar treatment. Pigments color is designed based on the client’s skin complexion and hair color. Designed color can change slightly based on request (lighter shade or darker).
In general scalp micropigmentation or SMP for short consider as a permanent cosmetic procedure. Any cosmetic tattooing procedure that lasts more than one year is considered permanent. There are key factors that can change intervals between touch-ups such as, individual’s skin type whether it’s dry, oily, or normal type. Skin peeling, exposure to sunlight, skin healing period, and skincare, all these factors can vary from client to client. Another factor that can change touch-up intervals is based on the client’s request for touch-ups.
Pixel Pigmet’s safe treatment guideline requires a free examination session before all procedures, for a safe treatment execution. PixelPigments suggest touch-ups based on 1 st examination and executed procedure after 2 years, however; all touch-ups are based on client needs and desire as we have observed many different touch-ups intervals has been requested from one year to four years. PixelPigment’s safe treatment guideline only uses Jet black SMP color to reduce any risk of color change.
